A group of people from Prodigy's(R) Sailor Moon Fan Club have created
a piece of fan-fiction of their own!  The way it works is like this:
Members of the club log on and add on to what other users have already
written.  Each writer makes the story in his/her own style, making for
a very interesting piece of Fan-Fiction.  If it someone thinks it can
happen, it will probably find its way into our story.  It began in
October of '95, and it's still going.  It may not end for a long time...

*** Sailor Moon CS #41 - Blazing Inferno ***
********************************************

  In the Negaverse, an evil woman and her underling were discussing the
latest turn of events.
  "My Queen!  I have some news for you!"
  "Yes, go ahead with your report, Kunzite," said Queen Metalia.
  "It isn't very encouraging," said Kunzite.  "Erudite's warriors have
regained their memories.  He's lost control."
  "That idiot," snorted the Queen.
  "He's terribly outnumbered, 53-to-1.  Although he does possess great
power, even he can't overcome those odds!" said Kunzite.
  "Of course not!" said the Queen.  "Send him thirty Nega-Warriors, ones
without any tie to the Helioverse, nor the Silver Millenium, nor the Earth."
  "Yes, my Queen.  On Earth, those strangers who were fighting the Sailor
Scouts have been banished to the Cave of Nothingness."
  "Get them out, and send them back to Earth.  How did they get there,
anyway?"
  "The Moon Knight used some of his remaining NegaPowers to open a portal."
  "And the other three?" asked the Queen.
  "Tuxedo Mask, Natalie, and Rini were instantly relieved of their powers.
The good inside them overwhelmed the Nega-power," said Kunzite.
  "But only the Knight retained his evil energy?  Interesting..."
  "Shall I be off now, my Queen?"
  "No, not yet.  Wait until I finish here."
  The Queen turned away from Kunzite, and faced Andrew.  He was lying inside
a chamber, Nega-energy filling the volume of it.  "Rise!  Your Queen demands
it!"
  Andrew rose to his feet.  "Am I Blaze again?"
  "No," said the Queen.  "You're much more than that."
  Andrew didn't look like Blaze.  Blaze was a fiery monster, flames spurting
from all over his body.  Now, Andrew had become a blazing blue beast, even
stronger than Blaze was.
  "How'd he do that?" asked Kunzite.
  "That's our secret!" laughed the Queen. "Behold, Kunzite!  This is
Inferno!  Now, release the captives from the Cave!"
  Kunzite snapped his fingers, and a portal opened.  He stepped inside.
  A minute later, he reappeared.  "I have sent the five of them back to
Earth."
  "Very good.  Now, take the thirty Nega-warriors to the Helioverse.
Inferno will follow you, on his way to Earth," said the Queen.  "Inferno
will reach Earth via the sun."
  "But my Queen!" said Kunzite.  "What about the Phoenix?"
  "Ha!  Phoenix, schmenix.  That Emerald isn't what it seems.  I know it,
Midnight knows it, and Princess Serena knows it.  Queen Serenity knew it
too."
  "What do you mean?" asked Kunzite.
  "Do you really think that if the Emerald was so powerful, Midnight would
have been captured by Queen Beryl?  The Imperium Emerald's a piece of junk.
Now, go help Erudite conquer the Helioverse!"
  "Aye, my Queen," said Kunzite.  He and Inferno left the room, along with
30 nameless, faceless Nega-Warriors.
  "It's much cooler in here, now that Inferno's gone," said the Queen.
"Well, it's time for me to get back to my other business."  She vanished from the
room.

  Yet another battle was going on in the Helioverse.  This battle wasn't
a very fair one though.
  "Okay, Erudite!  Feel the power of the Phoenix!" said Midnight.  Nightmare,
Kyle, and the 50 catmorphs stood behind her.
  "Shut up!" said Erudite.  He shot a burst of energy from his hands.
  The three cheetahmorphs dodged the attack easily.  The catmorphs, on the
other hand, had become trapped inside a thick layer of dry ice.
  "You fiend!" said Kyle.  "You'll kill them all!"
  "What's this?" said Nightmare.  "How can ice exist in the Helioverse?
It's not possible!"
  "Enchanted ice," laughed Erudite.  "A small taste of my power."
  "Now, taste my power!" shouted Midnight.  "Emerald Phoenix!"  A green light
shot out of Midnight's Imperium Emerald.  The light energy changed into an
large orange phoenix.
  "Time to cool off this bird!" said Erudite.  "Absolute Zero!"
Icicles came out of nowhere, and headed at the phoenix.
  The phoenix opened its mouth, and blew a breath of fire at Erudite.  It
melted all of Erudite's icicles, and managed to knock Erudite off of his
feet.
  "Victory is ours!" said Nightmare.
  "Not quite," said a voice.  A black portal opened behind Erudite.  Thirty
Nega-warriors emerged from it, along with Kunzite and Inferno.
  "Get up, Erudite!" said Kunzite.
  "What's that thing?" said Kyle, staring at Inferno.
  "Attack!" ordered Kunzite.  The thirty nega-warriors complied.  They
rushed at the giant phoenix.
  The phoenix repeated its attack, blowing fire at the 30 baddies.  They
were incinerated instantly.
  "Uh oh," said Erudite and Kunzite.  Inferno stepped forward.
  The phoenix readied for another attack.  "Ah, a phoenix!  A most
magnificent bird, isn't it?  The champion of heat resistance."
  "Not just a phoenix," said Midnight.  "But the Emerald Phoenix!"
  "Yeah, whatever," said the blazing Inferno.
  The phoenix burped a ball of fire at Inferno.
  Inferno just stood there.  The fireball engulfed Inferno in a wall of
flames.
  "You're history, Erudite!" said Kyle.
  "Wrong!" said Inferno.  The walls around him disappeared.  "Now, it's my
turn!"
  "What the?!" said Nightmare.
  "Not even a phoenix can stand against me!  Even a phoenix can feel the
burn!" laughed Inferno.  "Now, feel my power!"  He sent a wave of plasma
at the phoenix.
  The phoenix struggled under the force and velocity of Inferno's plasma
blast.  It managed to hold out for a few minutes.  Then, the plasma wave
knocked the phoenix to the ground.
  Midnight, Nightmare, and Kyle stared in awe.  "Impossible!" said Kyle.
"This is a phoenix!  A bird of fire!"
  "You're not so smug now!" said Kunzite.
  "B-Bye, Emerald Phoenix!" laughed Erudite.  "Absolute Zero!"  Large,
shiny, sharp icicles shot at the fallen phoenix.  The phoenix fought back
though, melting each icy stick.  But it was losing energy, and fast.  It
began to grow smaller.
  Midnight aimed the Emerald at the phoenix.  "I've got to try to
re-energize it!"
  "No, you'll over-exert yourself!" said Nightmare.  "It's too dangerous!
Something might happen to you!"
  Inferno and Erudite were now double-teaming against the shrinking
firebird.
  "I've got no choice," said Midnight.  She jumped into the Phoenix.  Fire
exploded from the Phoenix, knocking everyone to the ground.  The Phoenix
rose from the ground, with Midnight in its center.  Midnight looked
different; with a emerald green suit, golden sleeves, golden boots, and
a phoenix emblem on her chest.  Midnight had become the Phoenix.
  "Face me, Inferno!" the new Midnight demanded.
  "Dark Crystal Energize!" shouted Inferno.  He raised a grey medallion into
the air, one which looked like the one Jedite had.  The medallion shot out
rays of nega-energy which surrounded Inferno.  He grew in size, becoming
twice as large as the Phoenix.  The nega-energy rays disappeared in a flash.
Inferno emerged in heat resistant body armor (* Editor's Note - It would
have to be, to contain a beast of fire *), with a flaming sword in his
hand.  "I am Dark Inferno!"
  Erudite had disappeared from the scend.  Kunzite entered a black portal,
and went back to the Negaverse.
  "Okay, Dark Inferno!  Take this!" shouted Midnight.  The phoenix flapped
its wings, shooting a wave of fire.
  Dark Inferno's armor absorbed the fire attack, causing no damage at all.
"My turn!" Dark Inferno retaliated.  He lunged at the phoenix, thrusting at
it with his flame sword.  The phoenix absorbed the sword's heat energy.
  "You can't beat the Emerald Phoenix!" said Midnight.
  Dark Inferno rasied his sword above his head.  "Ice Fire!" he shouted.  A
thick beam of blue fire shot out from the sword, hitting the phoenix right
in the face.  Midnight fell to the ground.
  "I have no time for this," said Dark Inferno.  "I have something else to
attend to.  But, I shall return!"  He dashed off, headed for the sun.
  Kyle and Nightmare went to help Midnight out.  After getting up, she
recalled the power of the phoenix to the Imperium Emerald.  The phoenix was
gone, for now.
  "He's gone!" said Kyle.  "But what's he going to do now?"
  "He's headed for the sun!  He's going to cross the barrier between the
Helioverse and Earth's sun," said Nightmare.
  "I've got to stop him!" said Midnight.
  "We're coming too!" said Kyle and Nightmare.
  "No, you've got to stay here and protect the Helioverse from Erudite!"
said Midnight.  "Don't worry about me.  I'll be fine.  I've got to go help
the Scouts!"
  "Very well," said Kyle.
  "Good luck, Sis!" said Nightmare.  "We'll take care of business here."
  Midnight opened a portal using her Emerald.  "Good-bye, you two!"  She
jumped into the swirling green hole, and vanished.
  "I hope they can stop that guy," said Kyle.

  Midnight reappeared next to Sailor Moon, the other Scouts, Tuxedo Mask,
HW-Natalie, and the Moon Knight.  Then, she called for the Phoenix, and
merged with it.
  "Midnight!  What happened to you?" Sailor Moon said.
  "I am one with the Emerald Phoenix now," Midnight said.  "A creature from
the Negaverse, called Inferno, is on his way here!  He must be stopped!"
  "They're back!" said the Moon Knight.  Rubeus and the four
sisters came out of a black portal in the sky.
  "Don't these guys ever give up?" said Tuxedo Mask.
  "This could be trouble," said Midnight.
  "What do you mean?" asked Sailor Mars.
  "When this Inferno guy shows up, it'll still be nine against six," said
Sailor Jupiter.
  "I just think we should take care of these guys as quickly as possible,"
said Midnight.
  "I'll get 'em!" said Sailor Venus.  "Venus Love Chain Encircle!"
  "Melt that chain!" ordered Rubeus.
  "Got it, Rubeus!" said Katzie and Prisma.  Katzie fired a blast of her
ice-fire, and Prisma shot out a bolt of lightning.  The metal chain
disintegrated.  "Ha!  We burned it up!"
  "You wanna play with fire?!"  Sailor Mars, Holy Warrior Natalie, and
Midnight (as the Phoenix) said together.
  "Uh oh," said Birdie.  She unleashed a wave of ice and water.
  "Mercury Ice Storm Blast"! shouted Sailor Mercury.  Their two attacks
neutralized each other.
  "Now what?" said Avery.
  "Now, you feel the burn!" said the fiery trio.
  "Mars Celestial Fire Surround!" shouted Sailor Mars.
  "Solar Shimmer!" shouted HW-Natalie.
  The phoenix raised its head, and spouted fire at the five baddies.  "You
guys don't look so cool now, do ya?" said Midnight.
  "It's too hot!" screamed Avery.  She jumped behind her three sisters.
  "It's so bright!" said Rubeus, turning his head away.
  "Avery!  How dare you use us as a shield!" said Katzie, Birdie, and
Prisma.  "Aaaahhh!"  The three of them collapsed under the tremendous heat.
  "Keep it up!" said Sailor Moon.  "We got 'em!"
  "Take this!" shouted Avery, whipping out two cat-'o-nine-tails.  Holding
one in each hand, she lashed out at the burning triplet.
  Sailor Mars was thrown for a loop, falling flat on her back.  Midnight got
struck in the back of the head.  She collapsed, and went unconscious.  When
the whips hit Natalie, they had little effect, thanks to her armor.  They
did manage to dizzy her though.  Natalie wandered away from the temple,
holding her head in her hands.
  "Sailor Mars!  Natalie!  Midnight!" shouted Sailor Moon.  She, Sailor
Mercury, and Sailor Venus went to their aid.
  "Take this, you weirdo!" said Sailor Jupiter.  "Jupiter Thunder Dragon!"
  "Eeek!" shrieked Avery.  She jumped out of the way, barely dodging the
electric dragon.  "Take this, Sailor Jupiter!"  She lashed out at her with
both whips.  They hit her hard, knocking her into Sailor Moon, Sailor
Mercury, and Sailor Venus.  They were all momentarily dazed, but no worse
for wear.
  "Man, put that thing away!" said the Moon Knight.  He threw his sword at
Avery.  She was so shocked that she dropped her two whips.  The sword missed
her, and fell to the ground. "Sword, return!"  The sword came back to the
Knight.
  "Take this!" shouted Rubeus, unleashing a barrage of energy balls.
  The Knight lashed out at them, deflecting them back at Rubeus.  Avery was
taken down by the bounced-off energy balls.  Rubeus repeated his attack.
This time, Tuxedo Mask was ready and waiting for it to happen.  At the
moment before Rubeus released his energy,  Tuxedo Mask hurled a crowd of
roses at him.  The energy balls and the roses exploded on contact, sending
Rubeus to the floor.
  A single red rose fell from Rubeus, and landed on the ground.  The petals
began to wilt, and the stem began to brown.  Then, the entire flower burned
up.
  "It's him," whispered a weakened Midnight.  "It's Inferno."
  Inferno dove down from the sky, and blasted fire at Midnight.  The balls
of fire struck Midnight hard; so hard that she began to scream.  Midnight's
suit changed from emerald green to dark red.  She rose from the ground, with
a nasty grin on her face.  "I am Life and Fire incarnate!  I am the Dark
Phoenix!  All of you will be destroyed!"  She blasted Inferno into a tree.
Then, she disappeared.
  "I don't think we can hold out much longer!" yelled Tuxedo Mask.
  "Sisters, it's time to go," Rubeus told the four Sisters.  The five of
them opened a portal, and disappeared into it.
  A voice echoed in Inferno's mind.  "My Queen calls!" Inferno said.  "You
were lucky this time, but I'll be back!"  He disappeared into another
portal.

  In the Helioverse, Erudite suddenly vanished into a portal.  Kyle and
Nightmare were surprised, but glad to see him go.  They walked into the
ruins of the royal palace, and went into the portal room.  From there,
they went to Earth.

  Queen Metalia spoke to her three underlings.  "Kunzite, take this."  She
handed Kunzite a glowing orb.  "When this hits the Moon Knight, it will
split him in half.  The bad side of him will become a separate personality."

  Kyle and Nightmare flew down from the sky, and greeted the others.
They didn't see Midnight anywhere though.
  Only minutes after he had left, Inferno came back, but this time Kunzite
and Erudite were with him.
  "Hey, sailor wimps!  You'll never destroy us!" yelled Inferno.
  "Oh yeah?" said Sailor Mars.
  "Well, here goes," said Kunzite.  He threw the glowing orb at the Moon
Knight.  The Knight didn't see it coming.  A big flash of light engulfed
Danny.  When the light disappeared, two warriors stood.  One in white
armor, and one in black.  Each wore half of Danny's Star Medallion.
  The Moon Knight's remaining evil energy had become the Dark Knight.
